A "Bologna Information Package Briefing and Monitoring Meeting" was held on October 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Aksaray University Eskil Vocational School to update course information packages in accordance with YÖKAK (Higher Education Quality Council) criteria and to monitor the ongoing work.
The meeting was attended by Unit/Department Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah KILIÇARSLAN, Department Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erinç GÜMÜŞ, Lecturer Dr. Zekiye ÖRTLEK, and Lecturer Dr. Musa ACAR.
The meeting began with an assessment of the submission status of the Course Information Package Checklists prepared by the academic staff. Subsequently, the updates made to the course information packages for the Logistics Program and the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program, as well as the implementation status of decisions made in the previous meeting, were reviewed. It was noted that the course information packages for the Logistics Program had been examined by Department Bologna Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah KILIÇARSLAN and that the identified issues had been communicated to the relevant academic staff.
The evaluations indicated that significant progress had been made in updating the course information packages; however, areas requiring further improvement were identified regarding the alignment of course learning outcomes with weekly topics, ECTS workload calculations, the formatting of references, and the consistency between weekly topics and teaching methods/techniques.
It was decided at the meeting that course learning outcomes should be structured to be measurable, contain a single verb, align with Bloom's Taxonomy, and be appropriate for the associate degree level; furthermore, it was resolved that learning outcomes must be linked to weekly topics and program outcomes. Furthermore, it was decided to align the ECTS workload tables with course hours and assessment criteria, to organize course resources using a standardized citation format based on the latest editions, and to enter the determined corrections into the automation system by October 26, 2026.
In line with the quality assurance approach of monitoring and continuous improvement, it was decided to re-evaluate the status of the implemented updates at the third meeting scheduled for October 27, 2026, and to share the final report—to be prepared at the end of the process—with the relevant units. Additionally, it was resolved to carry out the necessary work to update the information packages for the common compulsory courses—Foreign Language I-II and Turkish Language I-II—according to the same criteria.
The meeting concluded following evaluations regarding the maintenance of Bologna course information packages in a structure that is current, consistent, measurable, and traceable, within the framework of the YÖKAK quality assurance approach.
