Aksaray University Eskil Vocational School Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program 2nd year students made a technical visit to the meat integrated facilities affiliated with Aksaray Chamber of Commerce in order to reinforce their professional knowledge and skills. The technical visit was guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ad** AK***, a faculty member of the Veterinary Department.
As part of the visit, the students had the opportunity to receive on-site information about modern slaughterhouse practices, hygiene and sanitation rules, and processes for processing and packaging meat. In addition, detailed information was provided on animal welfare and food safety protocols implemented under the supervision of veterinarians.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ad** AK*** stated that supporting theoretical knowledge with field practices is of great importance in terms of professional development, and expressed that such events contribute to students being better equipped for the sector. He also thanked the Aksaray Chamber of Commerce officials and facility employees who provided this opportunity to the students.
Students who expressed their satisfaction with the technical visit stated that they were happy to have the opportunity to observe field practices on site and that such events were very useful in terms of developing their professional perspectives.
