Meeting on Improving Quality Processes for the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 Academic Year

A meeting was held at Eskil Vocational School on August 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM, chaired by our Deputy Director, Lecturer Dr. Zekiye ÖRTLEK, with the participation of faculty members and the Vocational School Secretary, Mustafa DEMİRCİ, to improve the quality processes of the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 academic year. The meeting aimed to increase the effectiveness of the quality assurance system and ensure the sustainability of continuous improvement efforts.

During the meeting, existing practices and areas for improvement were evaluated under the headings of internal quality assurance mechanisms, public information and accountability, process management, and program design and approval. Based on these evaluations, improvement decisions were made regarding the implementation of PDCA cycles in an evidence-based and traceable manner, ensuring the currency of the website and quality content, regularly monitoring the progress of academic activities, and addressing identified deficiencies in course information packages.

Within the scope of education and training processes; It was decided that the course learning outcomes, teaching methods and techniques, their relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals, ECTS student workloads, and assessment processes would be reviewed, and necessary updates regarding the identified issues would be implemented through the OBS/Bologna Information System.

It was also decided that the areas for improvement and issues requiring enhancement identified at the meeting would be recorded and reported within the scope of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CPA), that those responsible for the relevant activities would be determined, that the implemented improvements would be documented with appropriate evidence, and that their results would be monitored. It was envisioned that the monitoring results would serve as input for subsequent evaluation processes and that additional improvement activities would be planned where necessary.

In this context, the aim is to close the PDCA cycle by monitoring and documenting the results of the implementation of the decisions taken, and to make continuous improvement in the quality assurance system sustainable at the institutional level.
